I know, I know... Everyone has to be sick of hearing about Softball, if they have spent any time with our family, or read this blog in the past months or so, but next week finishes it up for us for the year.
Monday is Day One of the Oregon State Little League Softball Championship Games. We are beyond excited and hopeful for an amazing week! No matter the outcome of next weeks games, by next weekend, Softball season will officially be over.
Very bittersweet! The girls have worked their rears off. Seriously.
I can't believe how hard they have worked, and how positive they have stayed. Of course that is pretty easy to do when you have ten runned every team you have played to get here, but that isn't the point! :)
Madi and her teammates have been practicing at least 5 nights a week, for over three months now. They have ran, hit, slid and scored in the sweltering heat, and smiled and pushed themselves the entire time. They have missed out on other summer activities, to rest up and make it to practice. I am proud of them. Each one of them!
And, so very thankful for the coaches that we have! These guys have put so much time and effort into getting these girls where they are today, and I am so thankful for their dedication!
Between ASA and Little League, My girl has come so far these past few years.
I am proud and excited to watch these girls, and can't wait to see how far they go in the future.
I can't help but think what it will be like when these girls are in High School, and hope that they will stay together, and keep the positive attitudes. They are going to be AMAZING players by then!
So, wish us luck, and if you are looking for a chance to watch some great ball games, we play Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:00am, in Baker City, Oregon.
Then will (hopefully) be the Championship games Thursday and Friday.
My camera batteries are charged, and we are ready to hit the road, with our new camper in tow! Should be an amazing week!
